NASBUS FAQ
How It Works
The call to Rally: fun, safe, and green on-demand travel!
NASBUS applies the power of the web to event travel to extend the race day experience through your travel time.
Reserve in your city and help us spread the word. Our bus will pick up in any location where people sign up! Relax and enjoy the ride while making new friends along the way. No driving, traffic, tolls, parking, or high gas prices: by getting people together, NASBUS makes it possible.
Your reservation gets you a round trip ride on a Chartered Bus from the location of your choice to the race. Recommend your town and we'll set up a stop right away. Should we fall short in your stop, we'll merge it with another, or choose a full refund.
The Buses themselves are pretty cool too. We use luxury motorcoaches with bathrooms that are fully A/V equipped with TVs and DVDs; some even have WiFi and power outlets. Eat and drink in comfort while enjoying the onboard entertainment.
We've helped thousands of people see the benefits of group travel. We hope you'll see them too and help us spread the word!
Reservations
How do I sign up?
Choose your state and city and the number of seats you would like and walk through our safe and secure payment process to complete your reservation. Or call us toll-free at 855 RALLY BUS (725-5928) to reseve over the phone.
Then what?
We email you as soon as we reach the minimum number of reservations needed. You can always check your Trip page for the live status of your route and city.
The Race is getting close...
We'll send you a final email with the details on your bus and introduce you to our drivers one or two days before the event.
How do multiple bus city reservations work?
Event cities with high demand may receive multiple buses. In addition to the trip being confirmed as a stop, each bus must meet a published minimum required number of reservations before it is confirmed. As always, if you reserve and we are not able to confirm your bus, you will be notified and not charged.
What happens if the bus isn't confirmed?
We do everything we can to make a trip happen, including multiple pickups, smaller buses, and even running buses at a loss when we're close so as to not disappoint people. But if we do fall short, we let you know 2 weeks prior to the event so you can make alternate arrangements.
Race Day
What do I do on the day of?
Check the Trip pages for the full itinerary. Departure times are the estimated time the bus will leave from your assigned location.
What kind of buses do you use?
We use luxury motor coaches that have bathrooms, TVs, DVDs, and plenty of storage room. Check out our Bus page for pictures.
What can I bring on the bus
You can bring two small items, like bags and coolers, on the bus and put larger items in the undercarriage. You may bring food and drink, but no glass containers and we ask that you please clean up after yourself.
When should I arrive at my departure point?
Single Bus City - 15 minutes prior to departure time
Multiple Bus City - 20 minutes prior to departure time
Are we assigned buses in multiple bus cities?
In cities with more than one bus, the bus captains will form lines and people will split up onto any line that you would like. Make sure your friends are on the same line as you are. You will use the same bus for the return trip.
What if the event runs long?
For those events that can run long, the bus will wait until the event is over. Most of our times leave room for this possibility, but in the rare cases that the event runs even longer, the bus will have a delayed departure. The maximum departure delay will be determined by DOT driver hour maximums.
What happens if there's traffic?
We do what we can to account for traffic in our times. Our drivers also try to reroute to get around it. Unfortunately, sometimes there's nothing we can do.
Where is my ticket to get on the bus?
Your ID is your ticket. The bus captain and driver will have a list of the passengers. The name listed will be the one on the credit card you use. As always, you should be carrying a photo ID (driver's license, student ID, library card). If someone else reserved for you, just give their name to get on the bus. Passengers who bought together but are arriving separately should meet there party outside the bus to avoid confusion.
